CLEVER CLOGS EXHIBITION
Clever Clogs is the latest exhibition by Manchester artist
Nick Franklin and visitors are promised a visual treat with the themes of
relationships, coming out, food and hedonism. With 20 canvases and sculptures,
many are made from found objects/ recycled materials
The exhibition is on throughout August at Taurus bar and
Restaurant, and this is Nick's third exhibition at the popular Canal Street bar.
Nick said: "When I was a wee nipper I used to create all manner of arty
creations and was always encouraged by my grandmother with the phrase Clever
Clogs."
Famous Clients include Kylie Minogue, Peter Tatchell, Ruth Badger, 4 Poofs and a piano, Philip Olivier, Carly Stenson and the Cheeky Girls. His artwork is displayed in restaurants, bars, health clubs, spas and showhomes, and has been featured in OK and Attitude Magazines.
Nick has even received a postcard from Kylie, when she was in Manchester on her Showgirls tour, thanking him for the canvas he sent her.
Nick has spent the past ten years working within television design on such shows as Changing Rooms, Brookside, Change That, Hollyoaks and Grange Hill. Nick Added: "Seeing people's reactions to something i have created is always a pleasure. Knowing that I have made their da, is not only special - but exceeding what they could only have dreamed of is highly rewarding. Everyday is different.
